Unreleased media

Security is agreed before footage moves.

A logo or badge cannot approve a vendor for every production. Before BestTranscript accepts unreleased media, the production and service team agree the transfer route, access list, retention period, deletion point and whether automation is permitted.

Pre-upload checklist

Five answers in writing.

01

Transfer

The approved intake method and accepted review-media specification.

02

Access

Who can receive, assign, review and return the production files.

03

Retention

How long source media, working files and completed transcripts remain available.

04

Deletion

The agreed deletion trigger and confirmation path after delivery.

05

Automation

Whether AI processing is allowed and which service tier is being purchased.

+

Production requirements

NDA, territory, named-user, insurance or vendor-assessment requirements are reviewed before acceptance.

Procurement truth

Assessment is not universal approval.

Content owners make their own risk decisions. BestTranscript will provide the information a production needs to assess the proposed workflow, but will not describe a registry, assessment or internal policy as blanket studio approval.

If your production has a formal security questionnaire, attach it to the pilot enquiry before sending media.

Production pilot

Scope security and service together.

Tell us the content owner, production requirements, transfer constraints and desired deletion schedule before upload.
