Information we receive
The enquiry form does not upload or save your answers on this website. It prepares an email in your own email application. If you send it, we receive the information you entered, which may include your name, work email, company, production type, estimated footage, editing system and project notes. We also receive information you include in later correspondence.
The hosting provider processes ordinary technical request and security-log information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, requested page, time, browser information and security events.
Why we use it
We use enquiry and correspondence information to answer your request, assess the proposed service, prepare a quote, take steps towards a service agreement, maintain business records and protect the website. For UK data-protection purposes, the relevant lawful bases are steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving a business-to-business service. We do not rely on marketing consent simply because you make an enquiry.
Sharing, transfers and retention
Information is available only to authorised people and service providers who need it for sales, email, hosting, security or delivery. Because the service works internationally, information may be processed outside your country. Any production-specific transfer route, access list, international-transfer safeguards, retention period and deletion point are agreed before media is accepted.
Enquiry and business correspondence is kept only as long as needed for the enquiry, resulting service, legal obligations and the establishment or defence of legal claims. If no service follows, we periodically remove information that is no longer needed.
Production media
Do not send unreleased production media through the enquiry form or by unsolicited email. Transfer, access, retention, deletion, confidentiality and permitted automation are agreed separately before footage is accepted. See our security and media-handling process.
Cookies and similar technology
This release does not set non-essential cookies, use behavioural analytics, run advertising pixels or store enquiry data in your browser. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary security and network controls. Read the current cookie notice.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to certain uses of your personal information. You may also complain to the relevant regulator. UK individuals can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. California residents can read the California Attorney General’s CCPA guidance.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, email contact@besttranscript.com and identify the relevant correspondence. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
